Semantics and Pragmatics

Semantics and Pragmatics is a peer-reviewed open access journal. The main content is high quality, original, self-contained research articles on the semantics and pragmatics of natural languages. While our target audience is primarily academic linguists, we expect to also publish material by, or of relevance to, philosophers, psychologists, and computer scientists.

The journal is affiliated with and published by the Linguistic Society of America under its eLanguage initiative, and receives financial support from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Texas at Austin.

As of November 26, 2007, we are open for submissions. We strongly encourage all readers and prospective authors to register. Also, for your convenience, we provide an RSS newsfeed that you can subscribe to with your favorite newsreader.

We would be grateful for any comments and feedback on the journal and this website. You can send us email or visit our editors' blog and leave a comment there.

Our pilot issue contains two editorial articles. We expect the first research articles to appear in early 2008.
